US: Strait of Hormuz remains open
The U.S. Central Command has confirmed that the southern route through the Strait of Hormuz remains open to all commercial vessels, with more than 1,000 ships successfully passing through the strait in the past three months despite Iranian escalation. On his part, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the strait will be reopened soon; otherwise, the United States will launch a new, strong attack on Iran. Iran is working with Oman on arrangements to reopen the strait, while mediators hope that the United States and Iran will resume their nuclear negotiations after the reopening.
