Peace Council discusses payment for weapons in Gaza
The "Peace Council" plan in Gaza reveals an intention to offer financial incentives to individuals who surrender their weapons, including sums amounting to several thousand dollars, in exchange for abandoning armed activities and committing not to return to terrorist operations. The plan also includes a rehabilitation program to help participants reintegrate into civilian life. This initiative is part of an American strategy related to arms possession and aligns with Palestinian laws requiring an official license to own weapons, with a focus on collecting the widespread Kalashnikov rifles in the sector.
