Israel reissues eviction warnings in southern Lebanon
Israel plans to resume evacuation alerts in southern Lebanon after weeks of suspension, following Hezbollah's violation of the ceasefire agreement. The Israeli army issued a warning to residents of Al-Mansouri village to evacuate their homes immediately in anticipation of military operations. This was followed by an explosion of a booby-trapped house, resulting in the death of two Israeli soldiers for the first time since the ceasefire took effect in June, during attempts to blow up houses in the area. Concurrently, Israeli forces carried out extensive airstrikes and artillery shelling, targeting border towns and destroying routes and hundreds of buildings across several villages. These actions hinder the return of displaced persons and threaten regional stability. Currently, negotiations are underway between Lebanon and Israel, under American auspices, aimed at achieving further Israeli withdrawals from Lebanese territory, while the Lebanese army continues efforts to reclaim occupied areas.
