Egypt's Impersonation Crimes from Fake Doctor to Judge
A person in Cairo managed to impersonate a judge and entered the North Cairo Court after official working hours. He sat on the judicial bench and took photos and videos inside the courtroom, aiming to deceive victims into believing he could handle their affairs and extract money from them. The Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that the suspect enlisted three court employees in exchange for money to help him gain access and document his actions. The conspirators admitted to staging fabricated scenes inside the court for the purpose of fraud. The incident sparked widespread controversy, with social media users mocking how he managed to enter the judicial platform. Similar cases of impersonation have occurred in Egypt, such as a girl claiming to be a doctor and a man impersonating a cardiac surgeon, amidst repeated incidents of fraud involving forgery and deception.
