Bazzishkian on Supreme Leader's MOU approval
Iranian President Masoud Bzeshikian affirmed that the support of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has remained a key factor in helping the Iranian government navigate sensitive moments and maintain the cohesion of state institutions during crises, despite the current difficulties in communicating with him. Bzeshikian denied that the leader’s message regarding the memorandum of understanding was an attempt to incite division, explaining that the agreement received institutional approval through clear mechanisms. He also emphasized that the political controversy that arose was the result of distortions of the message’s content aimed at creating internal disagreements. He stressed that Iran’s challenges—such as sanctions, internal crises, and ongoing war—have been contained through the support of institutions and the military, reaffirming that the presence of the leader remains a source of strength and stability for the country.
