Iran has introduced a bill to regulate navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, which includes a ban on the passage of U.S., Israeli, and enemy countries' ships, as well as preventing the transit of military and civilian shipments linked to Israel and reducing damages to Iran until compensation is paid. The bill also proposes fines of up to 20% of the cargo's value for violators. Currently, the project is under review by the National Security Committee in Parliament and is independent of negotiations with Oman regarding navigation in the strait.
