Two people lost their lives and 14 others were injured in a bomb blast on a passenger bus in the city of Jaramana near Damascus. The explosion occurred on a main street in the city center, causing significant destruction to the affected bus, with a security cordon surrounding the area, leading to the closure of nearby roads. Jaramana is a densely populated suburb with a Druze majority that has previously experienced sectarian clashes and repeated bombings targeting civilians and security forces, including an attack on a church that resulted in 25 deaths, carried out by ISIS. The recent attacks in Syria highlight the ongoing instability the country faces, with frequent security operations and bombings aimed at disrupting the activities of armed groups.
