According to reports from White House officials, U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed concern over the declining stockpile of American weapons in recent days, especially in light of his ongoing threats to take military action against Iran. He pointed out that the decrease in stocks, particularly of the "Thad" and "Patriot" missile systems, weakens the United States' response capabilities and threatens the security of Gulf allies, whose defense systems rely heavily on American weapons. Despite Trump's statements claiming that the U.S. has "huge quantities" of ammunition, military reports have warned that approximately 80% of the "Thad" missile stock and 50% of the "Patriot" missile stock have been consumed since the start of the Iran conflict. Sources indicate that this shortage could impact the ability of American forces and their partners to respond to any potential Iranian escalation, amid concerns of leaks from within the administration that may mislead the situation and reflect internal tensions regarding the Iran conflict.
