Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, is facing increasing opposition within the organization, as Sandor Csanyi, the President of the Hungarian Football Federation and a FIFA council member, has lost confidence in his leadership. This came after the removal of FIFA operations officials, including Kevin Lamour, who publicly opposed the plan to sell shares of World Cup tournaments to private investors—an action Csanyi described as "the last straw."
