A Chinese court issued a life imprisonment sentence to Evergrande founder Hui Ka Yan on charges of widespread fraud, and fined Evergrande Group approximately $10.86 billion. Hui admitted his guilt in April, with charges including illegal fund-raising, fraud, and bribery.
