Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Shiblani arrived in Islamabad on an official visit—the first in 19 years—which will last for two days. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations with Pakistan and discuss ways of mutual cooperation. Shiblani met with his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and it was emphasized that there are deep ties between the two countries, in addition to discussing regional and international developments. The visit includes meetings with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and senior officials, amid Pakistan's strong support for Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity following the Israeli attack on Abu al-Zuhur Airport in Idlib.
