Uber Deploys Self-Driving Cars in Dubai

Uber Technologies has launched fully autonomous Apollo Go vehicles in Dubai, in collaboration with Baidu, to provide self-driving mobility services through the Uber platform. The service includes sixth-generation electric robotaxi vehicles that can carry three passengers, operate without a driver, and currently serve specific areas in Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah, with plans to expand in the future. This move is part of Uber's strategy to promote electric and shared mobility and to expand its presence in the autonomous driving sector internationally, while adhering to strict safety standards. Dubai is the first city where Uber has successfully implemented a dual model combining autonomous transportation services with international partnership management.
