A Syrian investigation committee has referred an investigator to the justice system after it was established that he slapped a detainee suffering from hemophilia during the interrogation, despite knowing his health condition. This follows the death of young Mohamed Ghamira, who died from a brain hemorrhage and gastrointestinal bleeding after being subjected to torture at a police station. The findings confirm there were no signs of physical violence on the body, and the authorities have committed to holding those responsible accountable for the mistake.
