Families of the detainees involved in the "Conspiracy Against State Security" case in Tunisia organized a protest in front of the Court of Cassation during its session to review appeals against their sentences. The families accuse the judiciary of having a political nature, expressing their disappointment with the course of the trial, which was marked by procedural irregularities such as judgments issued without hearings or interrogations. They consider the case to be part of political measures targeting opponents of President Saied. Sentences ranged from 5 to 45 years of imprisonment on charges related to actions aimed at threatening national security, while the defendants and human rights organizations oppose the validity of these accusations, amid ongoing criticisms of the judiciary's independence and transparency in Tunisia.
