U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris spoke about Iran's diminishing ability to threaten navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, confirming that oil flows have nearly returned to pre-war levels, with around 15 million barrels of oil passing through on Wednesday despite ongoing attacks. She explained that Iran is gradually losing control over the strait, and that the United States remains the only guarantor of continued energy flow to global markets. Harris also rejected the idea of negotiations with Iran as long as attacks on ships continue, calling on Tehran to cease firing at commercial shipping.
