The Yemeni government forces are facing an escalation on the ground by the Houthi movement in the southern part of Al Hudaydah province, where heavy weapon clashes have erupted between the two sides on the fronts of Taiz and the coast. Forces from Giants and the Homeland Shield have arrived to support the fronts. Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council insists on the readiness of the troops to confront any escalation, emphasizing that Houthi attacks will not alter the balance of power or achieve new gains. Tribes in Houthi-controlled areas have called on their sons not to be involved in the fighting, while Aalami accused the Houthis of prolonging the conflict to serve Iran’s agenda in the region.
