A US airstrike targeting a wedding in Serik District near the Strait of Hormuz resulted in the death of four people and injuries to 68 others. It is believed that the ammunition used was American and hit its target directly, according to weapons experts' analyses. Washington has denied targeting civilians and is currently investigating the incident, confirming that the strike was due to a direct hit by 500-pound American munitions and not caused by a malfunctioning Iranian missile. Analyses indicated that the damages are consistent with the use of American ammunition, while experts ruled out the possibility that the missile was Iranian, explaining that the incident is likely the result of a misfire or deviation in the trajectory of the ammunition.
