Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Pak Naghad confirmed that Iran's oil exports continued fully throughout the 40-day war, despite the US-imposed naval blockade aimed at preventing oil exports. He stated that oil exports did not halt "even for a single hour" and that export operations persisted from February 28 until the temporary ceasefire, despite the destruction of over 550 strike points around Kharg Island and key oil facilities in Tehran and the south of the country, where oil warehouses were shelled. He also pointed out that Iran entered a phase of naval blockade in April to enhance the protection of its exports, conducting sales operations at distances away from the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea, prior to the new blockade launched on July 15, which includes all Iranian ports. Tehran has called on the United States to lift the blockade in order to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
