Trump envoy to Moscow and Kyiv Zelensky seeks ceasefire

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed a ceasefire with Russia, coinciding with an upcoming visit by the American President's envoys, Jared Kushner and Steit Witkov, to Moscow and Kyiv, aimed at discussing the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war. It is expected that the two envoys will meet with Putin at the Kremlin on Saturday and with Ukraine on Sunday. Meanwhile, estimates suggest that conditions are still unfavorable for achieving a permanent ceasefire before Spring 2027, amid ongoing international diplomatic efforts to find a political solution to the conflict.
