Clashing violent encounters between government forces and the Houthi group have intensified for the second consecutive day in Yemen. Widespread areas in the Hayis district of Al Hudaydah Governorate and Tareb in Taiz have witnessed ongoing confrontations, with the Houthis controlling some rural areas. Airstrikes by government forces have resulted in the death of three civilians and injuries to four others. The Yemeni presidency confirmed that the Houthis are seeking to take control of Bab al-Mandab Strait, and that the government will not allow this. Amid ongoing escalation by the Houthis, which threatens regional security, government forces continue their military maneuvers against the group.
