Social media circulated a video clip of Syrian Health Minister Musab Al-Ali attempting to fire a gun inside the Ministry of Interior pavilion at the Damascus International Fair, sparking widespread controversy. Experts clarified that Al-Ali is a former neurosurgeon from Germany who left his profession in 2025 to work in the government. They explained that the experience was part of the fair’s activities and had no connection to his official responsibilities or military background. Despite the criticism, analysts pointed out that the scene was a recreational activity within the fair and not inappropriate given his position. The video was recorded during a visit to the Ministry of Interior's pavilion at the 63rd edition of the exhibition.
