Kushners Shift U.S. Peace Efforts to Kyiv

American negotiators Steve Weitikoff and Jared Kushner traveled to Kyiv after intensive talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, aiming to end the war in Ukraine. The American team held a three-hour discussion with Putin at the Kremlin, followed by a dinner, during which Russian aide Yuri Ushakov described the discussions as "useful." The American side expressed interest in a swift resolution to hostilities and discussed potential steps to halt the war. The team is expected to visit Kyiv on Sunday, marking their first trip to the Ukrainian capital since the war began, amid ongoing Russian attacks on Kyiv, including missile strikes and drone assaults. Meanwhile, Putin has ordered a three-day pause in the city's attacks.
