Iran threatens painful attacks if it faces new strikes and is enhancing its military measures in the Strait of Hormuz, including announcing a prohibited zone that covers the Gulf and will be under its control. It has also signed an agreement with Oman to establish a new corridor controlled by the Iranians in the strait. Iran has confirmed that its response will be faster and more severe to any attack, aiming to keep the strait open and unobstructed despite ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel. It also acknowledges plans to implement strict security measures to prevent the passage of unauthorized ships.
