A glacier collapse occurred in the second mass of Mount Muztagh Ata in the Xinjiang region of northwestern China, near the border with Tajikistan. The incident resulted in no injuries or material damage, as it took place in an uninhabited area. Weather conditions and the complex terrain helped reduce the risks, despite the area being closed to visitors due to increasing glacial hazards. Video footage showed a massive wall of snow and ice sliding down the slope, with a snow cloud over 100 meters wide.
