Inflation disrupts markets and weakens dollar
The US dollar fell to 99.09 points despite expectations of an interest rate hike in the United States in September, facing pressure due to tensions in the Middle East and investors’ fears about ongoing uncertainty regarding monetary policies and the US public debt. Meanwhile, some currencies like the euro and British pound experienced slight increases, but overall currency market movements remained limited as traders awaited upcoming US inflation data, which will influence the potential decision to raise interest rates. At the same time, Bitcoin surpassed the $80,000 mark, supported by investors diversifying their assets away from the dollar.
