North Korean leader Kim Jong Un inaugurated his second naval destroyer, the "Kang Kum," at Wonsan Port, with a focus on strengthening nuclear maritime deterrence. Kim confirmed that the new vessel is part of a plan to develop an advanced nuclear naval force, aimed at delivering lethal retaliatory strikes when ordered, while continuing efforts to enhance nuclear capabilities and tactical missiles. This development comes amid escalating tensions with the United States and South Korea, where joint military exercises are underway. Reports suggest that the two destroyers are equipped with nuclear missiles and may have been built with Russian assistance, amidst rising military and diplomatic pressures between the two sides.
