Kirkuk trash burning near grave sparks social media attention
A video has been circulating in Iraq showing flames burning next to a grave in the "Sayyed Alaaoui" cemetery in Kirkuk province, sparking widespread debate about the nature of the fire. Interpretations varied between supernatural explanations and natural sciences. Security authorities clarified that the fire was caused by the burning of waste and accumulated dirt at the site, and it was not related to any paranormal phenomena or tombs. The investigation results confirmed that the fire resulted from a natural gas leak and waste explosion, and that the reports about a grave being present were inaccurate. They called for careful accuracy when sharing information and emphasized the importance of preventing rumors.
