Syrian detained in Germany for war crimes
An arrest warrant has been issued for a Syrian man in Germany on charges of war crimes. He is affiliated with an opposition militia and, in 2015, detained and executed three individuals from the Syrian government after their confessions were obtained under torture. Another man, affiliated with ISIS, has also been arrested. It is believed that he joined the organization in Iraq between 2016 and 2017 and participated in combat. He faces charges of belonging to a terrorist organization. Both individuals are in custody in the cities of Neuwied and Waldick-Frankenberg, respectively, and are subject to ongoing legal investigations in Germany.
