Latest Yemen Developments: Casualties and Airstrikes
Yemen is experiencing a continuous military escalation that has entered its fourth month, involving government forces supported by the Saudi-led coalition—part of Operation Support Legitimacy—and the Houthi movement. The fighting has resulted in civilian casualties, including the bombing of residential areas and the killing of children, in addition to the destruction of Houthi military equipment across multiple fronts. Saudi Arabia affirms its full support for the Yemeni government in regaining control of the country and deterring Houthi attacks. Meanwhile, the Yemeni army is conducting precise operations against the Houthis and has announced the destruction of numerous Houthi positions. The group, on the other hand, accuses the kingdom of launching airstrikes across several provinces and continues to attempt infiltration and carry out attacks on various front lines. Security sources have also reported the seizure of Houthi cells communicating with local populations and using telecommunication networks. Additionally, more than 100 children, conscripted by the Houthis during this escalation, have been documented as killed, with authorities calling on families to protect their children and prevent them from being lured into the fighting arenas.
