UAE Attorney General Sets Up Flydubai Crash Probe
The Attorney General of the United Arab Emirates has ordered the formation of an investigation team to look into the incident involving flight "Fly Dubai" FZ1073, which was en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The flight experienced a controversy inside the cockpit that led to a change of course and a safe landing at Tabaq Airport in Saudi Arabia. The investigation is underway amid claims of a dispute among the crew and security onboard. It is focused on gathering evidence and verifying the motives behind the incident, including the possibility that it was linked to terrorist activities, in accordance with Emirati laws that apply to the aircraft since it is registered in the country. The investigation is still ongoing, and the Attorney General urges caution in disseminating information before all facts are fully established.
