Explosions at Idlib Military Airport
In the early morning hours, Tiftina Military Airport in Idlib countryside experienced unknown explosions that lasted for an hour and a half. These explosions coincided with the flight of a reconnaissance aircraft, and footage showed thick smoke rising. Sources speculate that the explosions could be the result of remnants of past conflicts at the airport, which was previously the second-largest helicopter airport before the Syrian revolution. Currently, it is controlled by opposition factions and has become a Turkish observation point under the ceasefire agreement of March 2020. These explosions follow a series of previous blasts in the area during September, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of military personnel.
