UK Maritime Trade Reports Incident Near Oman
Two tankers were attacked with projectiles while passing through the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in a small fire on one of them, with no injuries or environmental impact. Authorities are pursuing investigations and warning ships to navigate the strait cautiously. These incidents coincide with a new Iranian parliamentary bill that imposes restrictions on the passage of unrouted or hostile ships, within the ongoing dispute between Iran, the United States, and Israel over control of the strait and global energy supplies.
