The Bosnian Serb nationalist politician Milorad Dodik announced his victory in the elections held in Bosnia, which took place amidst ongoing economic pressures and ethnic tensions dating back to the 1990s war. The results are seen as a test of his separatist policies. Dodik's party won a majority in the parliament, with his candidate, G Jelika Tsvianović, securing over 55% of the votes. Concerns have grown about the potential resurgence of divisions due to his separatist rhetoric aligned with Russia. The elections were characterized by a low voter turnout, at 41.48%, compared to 51.45% in the 2022 elections.
