Gulf Cup 27 Final: Donis Unveils New UAE Tactic
Saudi Arabia is preparing to host the Gulf Cup 27 final in Jeddah, between the home team, the Saudi national team, and its counterpart, the UAE, which boasts the strongest attack in the tournament. The Greek coach, Giorgos Donis, has implemented a new plan relying on three midfielders instead of two, with the inclusion of debutants such as Mohammed Kanno, Nasser Al-Dosari, and Abdullah Khiebri, in addition to forwards Feras Buraikan and Hattan Bakhit. Both teams are aiming to claim their fourth title; the Saudi team hopes to end a wait that has lasted since 2004, while the UAE seeks to win the trophy for the fourth time after having won all the finals they have reached so far.
