Saudi-led coalition intercepts Houthi missile
The coalition led by Saudi Arabia announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis toward the city of Khamis Mushait in southwestern Saudi Arabia. This comes amid ongoing escalation over the past three months, during which the Houthis have repeatedly targeted Saudi objectives, including airports, military bases, and other sensitive sites, amid rising tensions in Yemen. This action is part of the escalating conflict that has resulted in the Houthis gaining control over strategic areas such as the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, with Yemen calling for the restoration of state institutions and an end to the Houthi coup.
