Legal dispute at TAS between Morocco and Senegal
The controversy over the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal continues, following incidents of violence and the Senegalese team leaving the match for more than fifteen minutes. This led the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to strip Senegal of the title and award Morocco a 3-0 victory. Senegal has filed an appeal with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which held a closed session lasting over five hours to discuss the case. It is expected that the final decision will be announced in several weeks, with confirmation that the ultimate ruling will depend on a review of all documents and details submitted by both parties.
