OpenAI accused of silencing safety voices
Accusations have been raised by three former researchers at OpenAI, claiming that the company silenced internal voices warning of security risks related to artificial intelligence, following their dismissal last week. The researchers emphasized that their termination threatens the culture of open dialogue surrounding AI safety and hampers collaboration with independent experts, potentially reducing oversight of technological developments. On the other hand, OpenAI clarified that the researchers were dismissed due to violations concerning access to sensitive information, though they did not disclose details of these violations. The company also affirmed that internal discussions on safety are ongoing and encourage the expression of opinions.
