China deploys new space internet satellites
China has successfully conducted its thirtieth launch of low Earth orbit internet satellites, using a Long March-12 rocket from Hainan’s launch site. This step is part of China’s efforts to expand its national satellite communication networks and strengthen its competitive capabilities against networks like the American Starlink. These projects, including the Guowang constellation and G60 Starlink, aim to provide broad internet coverage and high speeds for remote areas, reduce latency, and improve the efficiency of space communication services. The rocket uses kerosene and liquid oxygen as fuel, enhancing launch efficiency to support the growing growth of China’s commercial space launch sector.
