Child Killed by Gunfire Near Gaza
Seven Palestinians, including a child, were martyred in the Gaza Strip. A medical source reported that four others were killed in an Israeli airstrike west of Gaza City. Meanwhile, thousands of patients and wounded individuals face long waits for treatment outside the Strip due to the closure of crossings and Israel's ongoing blockade. Since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025, more than 1,344 patients and injured persons have died due to a lack of healthcare and medical services, as a significant portion of healthcare facilities in the region have been destroyed. Patients continue to suffer from shortages of medicines and medical supplies, amidst restrictions on their exit to seek treatment outside Gaza, despite an emergency waiting list exceeding 20,000 cases. The health situation in Gaza remains catastrophic, with unprecedented destruction of healthcare infrastructure, and the medication shortage has worsened to 47%, threatening patients' lives and disrupting the provision of essential treatments.
