Palestinian leader delays November vote
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas postponed the parliamentary elections scheduled for next month and issued a decree calling for their conduct alongside the presidential elections in September 2027. This comes after the decision by the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the cancellation of the previous decree that set the date for the parliamentary elections in November 2026.
