France's diplomacy affected by Palestinian election delay
The Palestinian presidency announced the postponement of legislative and presidential elections to September 11, 2027, due to obstacles imposed by Israeli measures and the prevailing political and security conditions. This represents a setback for French diplomacy, which considered holding elections a key step in supporting the two-state solution. The delay is seen as a blow to France's support and its ongoing efforts amid a widening gap between diplomatic principles and the reality on the ground in Palestine.
