China establishes foreign affairs law database
The Chinese Ministry of Justice has launched a public database called "LexCom," aimed at providing reliable and accessible legal resources for Chinese businesses and citizens to learn about foreign laws and international legal issues. The database, which officially began operation after its pilot phase in July, contains more than 1,500 legal materials covering 187 countries, along with 1,800 related laws and regulations. This move is part of China's efforts to support companies and individuals in navigating international laws, enhance external legal services, and promote the expansion of law firms abroad. It also aims to encourage the use of international commercial arbitration for dispute resolution.
