Ethiopia reclaims border town after Eritrean reports
A potential war is brewing between Ethiopia and Eritrea over a border dispute and an attack on the Adigrat area. Ethiopian forces and allied militias entered the town following Addis Ababa's accusations that Eritrea sent troops into Tigray, which Eritrea has denied. Ethiopia accuses Eritrea of supporting rebels operating in Tigray, Amhara, and Afar regions. Meanwhile, Eritrea is exercising restraint despite Ethiopian claims that it has attacked, amid escalating regional tensions related to Ethiopia's seaport access. These tensions are described as a threat to security and stability in the region.
