Quartet Condemns Houthis’ Attacks
The Quartet Alliance (Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey) strongly condemned the ongoing attacks carried out by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia, which targeted airports and civilian facilities, including King Khalid Airport in Riyadh. These attacks resulted in the deaths of 19 people and injuries to hundreds more, in addition to material damage. The group fully held the Houthis responsible for the escalation and called for an immediate halt to these attacks, while also expressing full support for the Kingdom's defensive measures, in accordance with international law and the United Nations charters. These developments come amid an ongoing military escalation since October 2023, which targeted several Saudi airports and caused human and material losses, amid warnings of a deterioration in security conditions in the region.
