Syria Confiscates Weapons in Al-Qadmous
The Internal Security Forces in Tartous discovered a weapons and ammunition cache, which included machine guns and military uniforms from the remnants of the former regime, during search operations in the Al-Qadamous area. This is part of their ongoing efforts to pursue remnants and affiliates of the former regime. Additionally, in September and August, they seized weapons and ammunition that were headed to Lebanon. Five senior officers and former Air Force leaders involved in airstrikes targeting residential areas—strikes that resulted in human losses and unrest in the region—have been detained. Investigations are currently underway with them for judicial proceedings.
