Drone strike hits two ships near Bulgaria
A drone attack near the coast of Bulgaria targeted two commercial ships in the Black Sea, resulting in at least one sinking. The Bulgarian Prime Minister announced that the attack occurred around 1:30 a.m., approximately 18 nautical miles east of Piala. All 15 crew members were rescued, including seven Ukrainians and eight Azerbaijanis. The vessel targeted was named "Chelsea 3," flying the Maltese flag and registered in Odessa, Ukraine. This marks the second attack on commercial ships in the region off Bulgaria within a week, following the sinking of the first ship and injuries to a crew member. The Bulgarian government expressed its rejection of such assaults and reported the incident to NATO and the European Union, with plans to discuss the matter with NATO’s Secretary General.
