Ballon d'Or Legend Criticizes Mbappé, Prefers Kane
The French legend Jean-Pierre Papin criticizes Kylian Mbappé regarding his statement, allegedly claiming he is the rightful recipient of the Ballon d'Or 2026, expressing his dissatisfaction with the player's excessive self-focus and the remarks that go beyond acceptable limits. He believes that the award is given based on others' votes, not on the player's own assessment of himself. He also criticized Mbappé's attitude, which he sees as lacking in sportsmanship and fair play. Papin expressed his preference for the English player Harry Kane, praising his outstanding performance and high professionalism, considering him more deserving of the award than Mbappé.
