Europe enforces stricter sanctions on Moscow and Zelensky readies for winter conflicts
The European Union calls for intensified sanctions on Moscow and Russia, and for them not to be eased, in order to push Russia toward a ceasefire and the start of peace negotiations in Ukraine. Officials emphasize that European support should go beyond military aid to include assisting Kyiv in the accession process to the European Union, as progress has been announced in membership negotiations. On the other hand, Ukrainian President Zelensky warns of the need for his country to be prepared for winter, especially regarding energy supplies and air defenses, as allies continue to support Kyiv and confront airstrikes and energy shortages during the cold weather period.
