Gaza bombings cause two deaths amid ongoing hunger crisis
The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirms that 466 Palestinians, including 157 children, have died due to malnutrition and starvation since the beginning of 2024. Additionally, two Palestinians were martyred in recent Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip. Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement continue through killings and destruction, despite more than a year passing since the deal was reached. Since the start of the year, more than 1,500 Palestinians have been killed and over 5,300 injured. Israel is using starvation as a weapon as part of its genocidal campaign in Gaza, with strict restrictions on the entry of food aid, leading to the worsening of a food crisis that threatens more than 1.4 million Palestinians until the end of 2026. The crisis exacerbates the suffering of children, pregnant women, and the elderly. Reports indicate that the nutrition crisis is escalating catastrophically, with rising rates of child mortality and stunting. International organizations are calling for the opening of safe corridors to deliver food and essential supplies to save the population.
