Bashkians Urge Dialogue With Washington
Iranian President Masoud Beshzkian confirmed that Tehran will not bow to American pressure and called on Washington to dialogue instead of resorting to force. He emphasized that U.S. sanctions damage the country and the world, and that continuing them will worsen the situation. He also stated that Iran will neither back down nor abandon its nuclear program, which Tehran affirms is solely for peaceful purposes, and that claims about possessing nuclear weapons are baseless fabrications. His statements come after U.S. President Donald Trump's threats to strike Iranian nuclear facilities, amid reports that Washington is considering using the "Mother of All Bombs" against Iran to target its nuclear infrastructure, despite Iran's insistence that it is not pursuing nuclear weapons.
